About Springfield Playgroup and Pre-school
We are a well established Playgroup and Pre-school that has been in operation for over 35 years based inside the beautiful, character filled Springfield House in Stevenage Old Town.
Our setting provides sessional care for children aged from 2 years old until they reach either Nursery or Reception age.
What we do
At Springfield Playgroup and Pre-school we believe it is of the upmost importance to provide a bright, fun and varied environment so that all of our children have the opportunity to learn throughout their play and experiences.
Active Learning
We use the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to track our children’s progress throughout their time with us. To ensure that all of our children are learning and developing according to their age and stage, we observe them throughout their play and learning experiences which we then document weekly in each child’s Learning Journal.
VIEW OUR SESSIONSOur Mission
Springfield Playgroup and Pre-school strive to provide a fun, safe and inclusive environment for children aged from two to five years old with a wide range of abilities, genders, ethnicities and backgrounds. All children are given the opportunity to learn through play and achieve individual goals set by their key worker under the guidance of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
